Models go from call to call, client to client, audition to audition. That is what you're supposed to do - this is your job. To go and stand in front of someone for them to tell you if you are beautiful enough or not. You don't even know what they're looking for - you're just hoping that it's you.
Proverbs 31:30 says: Favor is deceitful and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth (fearing-morally reverent) the Lord she shall be praised.
What do you think this means?
People liking your beauty is not real, is only for that moment, is not true. The reality is that your beauty doesn't matter. It's only temporary - you may be the next "thing" they're looking for, but what happens afterwards? what happens at the end? Nothing, because after they're done, your beauty doesn't matter. To them you're just another face.
But God, He celebrates a woman who trusts, respects, and looks to Him. A woman who puts her life in His hands.
Acts 2:21 says: And it shall come to pass that whosoever (all, any, every) shall call (to invoke - for aid, worship, testimony, decision etc.) on the name of the Lord ( God, Jesus) shall be saved ( delivered, protected, healed, preserved, saved).
It's great to know that He has his own - personal open call. Can you imagine what would happen if you called all your clients, departments stores, designers etc..... (hey, Gucci - Versace - Blanik, Prada...)??
But whosoever.... calls upon the name of the Lord... You can call Him anytime, anywhere for whatever reason and He'll accept you just the way you are... Tall, skinny, short, fat, big nose, ugly hair, etc...
He has an open call - no prerequisite - You're in with Him. You want to please Him and you should trust (believe) in Him.
You're His girl, He is your most important client - and He wants to show you off and put you in every cover!!! But to maintain this you need to keep the integrity in your relationship. It's just like when you're married, there are certain things you wouldn't do, some things are not allowed in a marriage because they may destroy the relationship (like cheating). Just like a friendship - if you want to cherish it you must keep it healthy, real and with integrity ( you wouldn't date your best friends boyfriend )
Sometimes the modeling industry wants you to marry it... It needs you... you don't necessarily need it - It wants to use you and once it's done with you that's it. You are part of the business plan..it is not on your best interest.
God on the other hand is on your side.. you are his jewel... He wants to cherish and take care of you.
You need to honor Him with your actions, speech, values, morals, with your body and soul. Why?? because He cares and loves you - why because if all else fails He's there - because His love is unchaging. I could go on forever about His love. He has changed my life for the better and I know He can change yours too.
Don't think that you're the only one who's been unfaithful, deceitful, unloving, hurting, afraid - we've all been there. But it's through his love and looking through the mirror of God's Word that we can see ourselves as Jesus Christ sees us - Beautiful, full of life and with plenty to offer
