Ever thought about how you will be remembered after your death? Or what will your gravestone read? This question led me on a search for different epitaphs; here are some of the ones I found:

Now where he is and how he fares;
nobody knows and nobody cares"
This person wasn't even worthy of being named - that's sad. This was on a stone in an Oconto Falls, WI cemetery:
Nobody Mourned - Nobody Cried
How He Lived - How He Fared
Nobody Knows - Nobody Cared"
In Ribbesford, England, the grave of a woman named Anna Wallace, reads: "The children of Israel wanted bread, and the Lord sent them manna. Old clerk Wallace wanted a wife, and the Devil sent him Anna."
I'm sure these were not the words that Ana expected, it seems that the people she left behind got the last word.
And the one that left me speechless, the gravestone of a man from Plymouth, Massachusetts, named John McMahon. It says: "He Was a Failure As a Husband and Father."
Wow - How would you like that as your epitaph, really, no one deserves something like this or do we?
I know many people few that I can really call friends, some of them dearer to me than others. What really scares me is that if I were to die right now, at this moment, what would be the last thing they remember about me? Specially my closest friends whom I've fallen short on being a best friend to at times.
What would my gravestone say? Would I be remembered like Solomon?
1 Kings 11:33 NLT: For Solomon has [As in Greek, Syriac, and Latin Vulgate; Hebrew reads For they have.] abandoned me and worshiped Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians; Chemosh, the god of Moab; and Molech, the god of the Ammonites. He has not followed my ways and done what is pleasing in my sight. He has not obeyed my decrees and regulations as David his father did.
This isn't found on a tombstone but in the Bible, this is what God had to say about Solomon. Even though Solomon was buried in the city of David, was known as the wisest king of all, and did many good things he will always be remembered as the king who turned his back on God.
This is not how I would like to be remembered. I hope to be remembered as an awesome mom, great wife, amazing friend and hardworking individual. But I know that at this time, this may not be the case.
We would all do well to ask ourselves a simple question: If God was to write my obituary, what would he record?
