The festivities of the Holidays (aka: holy days) may be coming to an end. When they do, some tend to feel a little saddened, sort of at a loss and wondering what is to come? Don't fret! Because it is still the season to step out in your best. Designers such as Anna Sui, Donna Karan and Christopher Bailey, designer for Burberry Prorsum live for this wintery time of the year. When women of all ages get to feel like they have stepped out of those fashion magazines. Beautiful wool coats, petticoats, trench coats, leather, faux furs or real furs.

With this new year at hand it's time to set some Goals. So a new decade begins, seems like it's grander than just a new year. Many of us are thinking of a make-over, a re-vamp, or birthing a new self altogether. My advise, it's probably best to start from within. Working from the inside out. Always remembering who you are. What has made you who you are today, how did you get there, and for seeing or knowing where you are headed. Let's face it; we girls don't always have it all together. Perhaps, these tips can help sort it out, and set you on the right track.

Are you the modern, all American type of woman? If so, your wardrobe or would be wardrobe consists of these:

  • The floral dress
  • Blazer/denim jacket
  • Scarf
  • Dark denim
  • Platform heel/riding boots

These pieces are in now, yet they're classic, very versatile, and last. Unlike, the short-lived trends we see in many mags.

You're an artsy, rocker & trendy kinda gal? That means you're not afraid to take your fashion style to the edge. Trying the new and mixing:

  • Bold color, big prints
  • Pencil skinny jeans (maybe even ripped)
  • Strappy shoes, shooties, over the knee boots
  • Statement jewelry

Sometimes, there may be glitter & sequin. Could this be you? If so, go with it but always take location into consideration. Unless you work in a creative environment, it is likely you want to incorporate a classic piece to tone down the 'bold' and still show your style.

Do you day dream about romance or your significant other? That sounds a little like me, hee hee!

  • Lace
  • Cashmere sweaters
  • Ruffles
  • Vintage jackets or coats
  • Large or small custom jewelry

These are the things that make you swoon. Wear them as accents as well.

Once the new you is ready for her entrance. Do keep in mind, true style and beauty is not just in what you put on. Let your own style be a portrait of the person you've become. Confident, beautiful, a new you, who can be a vessel to be used to do good towards others.
