I am in the same place. I am a christian. I want to be a beautiful model, but I have a feeling if I do, I will lose my boyfriend, and even though our relationship is not the greatest, we get through all the mud puddles and are waiting for the time our finances permit for us to be together all the way, like move in together, etc, but his ex was a model, even though she was a nude one, I am unsure if I can give up on my dream, and be with him knowing that, not to mention, it modeling displeases God, and I do not want that, and my boyfriend learned the hard way and is trying to help me but I can not listen, I just want to be a model :( I just keep praying, most important to me is serving God, I do not want to go to hell over modeling but I want to be happy ?

I was reading your message and felt your pain. Your question is modeling wrong? to me it is not modeling or anything else that we do for that part; 'that is wrong' but rather the motive, and reason for what we do when we do it: Remember whatsoever we do in words, or deeds, do it all to the glory of God. Most women desires to express their inner beauty by dressing up and making up. This helps to express the glory of woman for we are a part of God's creation as we are fairfully, and wondrously made....it brings glory to God when we can implifies that, not only by our outward apparence, but mostly by our inner beauty of touching and changing lives. When the inner and the outter comes together coupled with grace, and modesty, it is a beautiful thing.
You said that you always wanted to model (that means to imitate)and that is a God's given talent and ability I advice you to pursue your dreams but with prudence. You also mention that your husband view modeling as a sin, and perhaps he is speaking from a man's point-of-view because men are motivated by what they see weither it's fully dress, partially dress, or naked Jesus said in Matthews if a man looks at a woman and have lusted in his heart after her he has already committed sin in his heart same apply to a woman so in this season of your pursuing, love him unconditionally and as you allow Jesus to model his love through you then he might change his mind and let you model for Jesus. I don't believe there is anything wrong with modeling as a career. Like any other job that is out there you have to maintain your dignity, values and always keep yourself pure in the best way that you can. Was queen Esther vain? Not at all and she went through a purification period (for a whole year) to present herself to the king. Find out why he feels that way. He may be dealing with other deeper issues. Just be honest with each other.
